Kathleen (WM) D'Hauwers, MD PhD, is a urologist working in the Functional and in the Andrological Units of the Department of Urology at the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She studied medicine at the University of Antwerp, Belgium . The surgical and urological training were done at Stuivenberg Hospital Antwerp (Belgium, 1998-2000) and at the University Hospital of Antwerp (Belgium, 2000-2003), respectively. She worked as a junior staff member at the University of Groningen, where after she became a member of staff at the Radboud UMC in 2005. She is heading the Unit of Andrology, which has besides chronic pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction, a focus on male in- and subfertility. The unit of andrology is associated with the Center of Reproductive Health, which is part of the department of Gynecology. Research is performed in cooperation with the Departments of Pathology, Genetics, and Endocrinology. She is also part of the unit of Functional Urology, where men and women with functional urological complaints are treated.
In 2013 she defended her thesis at the University of Antwerp, ''HPV in men''. HPV is a still a topic of interest, because of his relation with malignancies and possible relation with fertility.
She is a member of the Dutch Association of Urology (NVU), and the European Association of Urology (EAU).
