Xander van Wijk wins Bertus Kemp award

Xander van Wijk, Dept. of Biochemistry has been awarded the Bertus Kemp prize for his PhD-thesis “Chemical biology of heparan sulfate: development of tools, and use of sugar analogs to inhibit heparan sulfate biosynthesis and angiogenesis”.

The  ‘Stichting ter Bevordering van Bindweefselonderzoek Nederland’, awards the Bertus Kemp prize every other year for the best thesis in the field of connective tissue research.
