A consortium consisting of Jan van Hest, Radboud University, Dept. of Bio-organic Chemistry, Sander Leeuwenburgh, Radboudumc, Dept. of Dentistry and Harry van Goor Radboudumc, Dept. of Surgery was recently awarded with a grant of € 750,000 by the Dutch Technology Foundation (STW) to appoint two postdocs and two PhD students on a research project entitled “Bone-adhesive membranes for advanced surgical treatment of tissue defects”.
The consortium will focus on development of polymeric membranes and fixation devices of tunable degradability, stiffness, porosity and adhesion to bone tissue. Additional contributions were received from supporting companies GATT Technologies and IME Technologies."
