Where and when were you born?
I was born in Athens, Greece, on a warm sunny day back in August 1987.
Where do you live and with whom?
I live in Arnhem with Andreas.
Who was your role model when you were a kid?
I didn’t really have a role model and still don’t have any. I like to identify the bright side and examples to follow from every single person I know. And from these attributes I create my own “collective” role model.
Why aren’t you doing the same thing now as your role model (or do you?)
I try to!
What is the thing in your (work or other) history that you are most proud of?
During my studies, I had the chance to work at the Greek National Center of Scientific Research “Demokritus”. Being admitted for a research project there was one the most rewarding experiences at that time. I worked there for a year on my diploma thesis and I learned a lot about Biophysics. I defended my thesis and I received the highest possible grade for this work (10.0/10.0).
What is it that you would like to achieve in work in the next 5 to 10 years?
First, to obtain my PhD and find a fulfilling job! I would like to become a Medical Physicist and a research scientist. For me it’s important when I go back home after a working day, to have that feeling of joy and personal contentment.
For what can we wake you up?
To see the rainbow.
What is your hobby and how good are you at it?
My hobby is drawing and sketching. I have made various artworks and have participated in an exhibition in my home town. When I was 18 I took the national exam for University entry and I chose to take additional exams on the freehand and technical sketching. The results of those tests qualified me to enter Architecture. However, I chose to study Applied Physics instead and I keep on sketching in my spare time.
What is your biggest irritation?
Cycling when it is raining.
Who would you like to invite for dinner, if you had the chance?
I would like to invite my friends and make for them that “special” cheesecake I promised a while ago!
