To encourage regular meetings of the PhD students of the theme Women’s Cancer, a new lunch meeting specifically for the PhD students has been organized. The aim of the meeting is to exchange ideas and experiences in an informal setting, to get an overview of the various types of research going on within the theme and learn from each other. In the first meeting on December 13th, Jan-Jurre Mordang from the department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine presented his project on computerized mammogram screening. The format of the meeting was very much appreciated by all PhD students present, and we hope that many more will join for the next Women’s Cancer PhD lunchmeeting, which will be on February 23rd.
We would like to invite you all for the second lunch meeting specifically for PhD students of our theme.
Title: Women’s Cancers PhD lunch meeting
Date: 23-02-2017; 12.00 – 13.00 h
Where: Route 791, grote colloquiumkamer
Dear PhD students of the theme Women’s Cancers,
This time our speaker will be Anne Aarts from the department of Health Evidence, who will present her research entitled: “Tailoring breast and colorectal cancer follow-up”. Afterwards, we will have a general discussion and some time to socialize.
To remind you of the goal of these meetings: our idea is to organize regular meetings (every 2 months) for all PhD students within the theme Women’s Cancers. In this way, we get to know each other and the research in the theme in an informal setting. The presentations will be structured so that everyone can understand them.
Could you let us know whether you will attend or not, so that we can arrange lunch for everyone?
Anne-Floor Pouwer, dept. of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Annemarie Post, dept. of Laboratory Medicine, dept. of Radiation Oncology
Dirk van den Brand, dept. of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, dept. of Biochemistry
