Linda Rainey, PhD candidate at Department for Health Evidence, was awarded a 3,060 EUR travel grant from the René Vogels Stichting.
She received the award for a work visit to Professor Per Hall’s research team at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Her research focuses on personalised risk-based breast cancer screening and primary prevention. During her time in Stockholm she will study the effect of lifestyle (physical activity, alcohol consumption, and smoking) on breast cancer diagnosis, for women at varying levels of risk.
