Van der Wilt earns fellowship at Durham University

Gert Jan van der Wilt (Department of Health Evidence) earns fellowship of the Institute for Advanced Study at Durham University, UK.

The IAS Fellowship program brings together scholars from all over the world to collaboratively work on issues of major intellectual, scientific and political significance. The objective is to spark new ideas for investigation, develop novel approaches for inquiry, and set tomorrow’s research agenda. Gert Jan van der Wilt will participate in the ‘Who are “We the people”? Community beyond the state’ project at IAS, led by Dr Amy Russell. His contribution will consist of an inquiry into the challenges that are posed by developments in healthcare technology to the functioning of democratic societies. (www.dur.ac.uk/ias)
