Bart Schreuder appointed Professor of Orthopedic Oncology

Bart Schreuder has been appointed Professor of Orthopedic Oncology, with a specialty in bone tumors in children at Radboud University/the Radboud university medical center  with effect from 1 August.

Bart Schreuder (1961) received his doctorate degree from the Erasmus University in 1986. After that he specialized in the field of Surgery at the lkazia hospital in Rotterdam (1989-1990) and in Orthopedics (1991-1994). In 1995 he was registered as an orthopedic surgeon.  In 1997 he obtained his PhD on research into the cryosurgical treatment of benign and low-grade malignant bone tumors.

Prof. Schreuder has been working at Radboud university medical center since 1997 as a university medical specialist in the orthopedic department. He is the initiator of the Radboudumc Expertise Center Sarcomen, a research and treatment institute for malignant tumors in bone or injuries and the treasurer of the Aya Foundation (adolescents and young adults with cancer).
